Project Coordinator


The Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for leadership, guidance, and oversight of multiple overseas Forced Entry, Ballistic Resistant (FE/BR) door and window replacement, and Physical Security Upgrade (PSU) projects, including Technical Security Systems and Barriers, ranging in size from $1M to $7M in project/task value. The PC will be in daily communications directly with the field Project Managers to track, analyze, report, and inspect job site activities – worldwide – ensuring compliance with schedule, cost, scope, and design specifications. This position resides at the Lanham, MD office, reporting directly to the Program Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide planning, estimation, schedule, and cost control functions
  • Develop and update a working budget and schedule to communicate and manage the OCONUS projects.
  • Identify materials, tools, and equipment requirements – develop a Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Coordinating logistical requirements – approving, tracking, and updating materials from purchase to shipment.
  • Coordinate travel, lodging, personnel assignment, and updates to all stakeholders and team members.
  • Manage or coordinate with design team members ensuring all client comments are correctly and timely resolved
  • Coordinate and manage subcontracts – including review and selection process.
  • Develop or identify local or regional supply or material vendors for site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and breakdown of the scope of work to ensure on-site compliance with task and contract requirements.
  • Monitor the utilization and accountability of personnel, equipment, and material resources.
  • Oversee policies and procedures for operational processes to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Maintain familiarity with a variety of construction concepts, practices, and techniques.
  • Provide supervisory and technical oversight to the field (OCONUS) workforce and the subcontractors/vendors supporting the work.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager and/or Construction Manager for additional or corporate support.
  • Interface with Government inspectors and stakeholders at all levels as required.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of deliverables to clients and designated management personnel – including payroll, expense reports, general conditions, and contract deliverables.
  • Require travel to work sites OCONUS to conduct pre/post-award site surveys or oversee the installation phase – ensuring safety, budget, schedule, and quality controls are established and met.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 5+ years of Project/Construction Management experience – preferably supporting US Embassies or Consulates – specific to the FEBR, Barrier, and PSU programs.
  • Knowledge and experience with the design process, procurement of materials, overseas conditions, government contracts, scheduling, budget control, and quality/safety initiatives and standards
  • Must be proficient in coordinating, drafting, and reviewing contractual correspondence and other forms of documentation, including weekly and monthly reports.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel, SharePoint, and MS Project. Computer literate and familiar with various cloud-based Project Management Tracking systems and tools.
  • Must possess high-level planning and schedule/cost control skills and abilities
  • Degree Required. Construction Management, MEP Engineering preferred.

Certifications

  •  Have or willing to obtain HTSOS Certification
