Core Duties:
- The Dispatcher must be fully knowledgeable of manual and automated fuel management and accounting systems. Must possess sufficient computer skills to use client/server applications in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; other commercial off the shelf applications, utilities; and custom software in such a manner that daily fuel transactions are recorded accurately. Skills must include the use of the real time information systems, the manipulation of data within the Fuel Manager Data system and the related fuel management modules and status systems. In addition, dispatchers must be knowledgeable of radio communications, instructions and regulations pertaining to fueling and defueling of military and civilian aircraft, along with applicable forms used to document aircraft fueling and defueling servicing. He/she must demonstrate familiarity with the layout of the base and outlying fields as well as the airfield and aircraft parking areas and restrictions applicable to servicing aircraft within those areas. Individuals qualified and contractor appointed, as OD’s must be capable of communicating in English, both orally and in writing. OD’s must have the same authority, no matter which shift they are assigned, to execute their assigned duties.
Training:
- Possess sufficient skills to effectively operate the dispatch system and Business Systems Modernization-Enterprise (BSM-E), Enterprise Business System (EBS), Fuel Manager Defense (FMD), Automated Fuel Service Station (AFSS) module, Energy Enterprise Business Portal (EEBP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS).
General Requirements:
- Background Check: Required for CAC holders.
- Training & Re-Certification: Annual certification and supervisor validation required.
- License & Certifications: Required fir specialized equipment; training certificates may substitute if no commercial equivalent exists.
- Language & Numeracy: Must be literate in English and capable of basic math operations.
