Welder at various Overseas locations. The Welder performs skilled technical work in the installation, repair, replacement,and maintenance of various building systems. Is familiar with US Embassy/OBO standards for construction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reads plans and other technical documents to access construction needs and welding connection requirements.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable welding codes.
- Determine materials needed for each project and plan appropriate tools/conditions for work.
- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
- Welds steel tube, plate, shims and angles in support of FE/BR sub-frame and embed requirements.
- Repairs damaged steel and plugs existing holes in steel as might be required.
- Cutes, torches and disassembles old products in preparation for disposal per DoS requirements.
- Assists FEBR Technicians with product staging and installation.
- Create work reports and as-builts documenting projects.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Minimum of 5 years total construction experience, with 3 years working as an apprentice under a seasoned welder.
- Self motivated and the ability to work as a member of a Team with minimum supervision.
- Must have taken and passed the AWS Certification.

- Clearance Level : SECRET Required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
