Barrier Controls Technician at various Overseas locations. Responsible for on-site installation, programming,service, maintenance, and repair on various gate or barrier security related equipment and panels. Is familiar with US Embassy/OBO standards for construction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, Program, Test,commission, Warrant, Train Post Personnel, Service and Maintenance, and develop red line drawings for various perimeter barriers, operated gates, and other security related equipment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to review and comprehend schematic design
- Detailed knowledge of electrical and barrier control panel layouts ensuring fit of all components and proper terminations.
- Knowledge in low voltage safety, sensor calibration, fiber-optics, programmable logic controls (PCLs), mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to install infrastructure and cabling supporting existing and new barriers.
- Knowledge in both hydraulic and electric barrier systems.
